@Serpenterror I thought Switch 2 was going to carry our digital libraries forward? In your case, hopefully you only have to buy it once!

The Switch console still costs $300, which is nuts considering how old it is, and doesn't seem to make sense if a Switch 2 is coming soon. Then again, we never got a "Selects" line of titles either. Feels bad for kids and families, tbh.

Nah, $50 is crazy considering all the matchmaking issues being reported. I'm also gonna guess that this collection will be crickets online like all the other collections within a few weeks, minus getting crushed by legacy players, unfortunately.

I think this is the coolest Sektor has ever looked! Personally super excited for this.

The graphics are now on-par with MK11's switch port. The load times are still 30-60 seconds depending on what you're doing (i.e. 60 seconds to load a match). This makes the Invasions mode pure agony. Also, just like MK11, the online fights can also move in slo mo depending on what stage and the connection, which will mess up combos, and nothing works if you're offline.

But for collection purposes and practice mode, I think it's in a good place.

For the love of god, I just want to play the game...

What the heck? Did anyone here actually play these games, because this honestly SUCKS! Yeah, there was room for improvement, but I had a ton of genuine fun competing against friends and family. Booooooo!!!!

@OFFICIALMichi Haha, I think Wolverine and Deadpool are technically Disney characters now, but maybe that would open up the possibility of all those Disney mods for the PC version of MK1 becoming actual guest characters

@RubyCarbuncle They have been updating it so it looks on par with MK11's port. Played it last night and I feel it runs better since the latest patch, but I didn't test it enough. I was playing it a lot a month ago and some of the stages cause the game to run noticeably slower than the other versions to the point it really makes combos hard to perform. Loading times are 30-60 seconds for a match compared to 6-10 seconds on other platforms, which is the biggest downside IMHO. Online was easy to find matches (a month ago, at least), and the community SEEMS friendlier, so if you have no other option, I'd say it's worth looking into on-sale.

@OFFICIALMichi I'm very excited for the gender-bent characters if it means female characters that AREN'T wearing heels. Seriously, it looks so bizarre to me! Thankfully, some characters now have alternate skins that sport sneakers instead.

The leaked guest characters are soooo random, haha. As much as I dislike the superhero guest characters in my MK, they should've at least stuck to a theme, IMHO (like how MKX was horror and MK11 was 80s/90s action movies).

@LEGEND_MARIOID Yep, the patches since launch have really improved the game up to the level of the MK11 port, but it still runs like it's got slo-mo compared to the other versions, especially depending on which stage you're playing on (which seems like a clear fix they need to make). The load times are also insane. Oh well.

Darkstalkers, Chrono Cross/Trigger, Castlevania, Silent Hill, Banjo-Kazooie...the list goes on for games I've re-purchased (multiples times in some instances) with the hope of a sequel and look where those are.

I'll buy it when they remove the "Stop asking for Rage Wars" quip in the credits. That's my favorite one as an adult (the others did not age well at all, IMHO), and the only one I still occasionally play on my real N64.

@mereel Seems like Reddit now has Switch footage, but it's all fatalities. I'd say it looks the same as MK11, except the backgrounds are arguably worse.

@Selim MS has had the Perfect Dark IP for over 20 years and they still haven't gotten a single new game (Perfect Dark Zero doesn't count since Rare was making it before they got acquired).

Call me crazy, but it'd be nice to hear Phil say one day, "We're inspired by Nintendo to make a new Banjo-Kazooie game with the charm of SMB Wonder and sandbox gameplay of TotK" instead of "OTheR cOmPaNy GAme GOOD!"

It's hard to believe this game is 2 months fron release with how little they've been showing off. If their objective is to kill hype, they've certainly accomplished that IMHO.

RIP, good game with a horrible UI. The fact that trading was a big part of the meta is something that will be missed IMHO.

Nintendo should release a poison gas over the entire planet that erases everyone's memory so we can re-experience all of their games for the first time. Or a giant magnet that reverses the earth's rotation.

@NinjaWaddleDee $40 for deck made from singles is about what MTG takes, but last I checked, the deck I wanted to make for Pokemon TCG was much more than that. Probably because I did go for the alt art cards...some cards, like Duralodon VMAX or a number of the trainer cards, look kinda junky otherwise, IMHO.

The V cards are almost a completely different game than the normal cards, and way more fun to use IMHO. Sucks for people like me who just want to play the game and have to stick to the digital game (or otherwise shell out hundreds to make one decent deck).

@Kirby_Girl Ugh, like that Silent Hill Revelations movie maybe, where the main characters literally ran into a different character or scene from the game every 5 minutes. Felt like watching a fanservice checklist.

Pikachu doing 10-hit combos and a Stone Cold Stunner makes this worth the download.
