Re: Niantic Settles Pokémon GO Fest Class Action Suit With $1.6 Million Payout

ultraraichu

Found the blog from back then
https://nianticlabs.com/blog/gofestupdate072517/

@LordGeovanni It's kind of weird since Niantic reported the opposite on their blog. That they provided detailed estimates on attendance and required data with some giving them Cellular on Wheels while others deemed them unnecessary based on other infrastructure already in place at the site.

Niantic did singled-out Sprint as a company that took action to provide the necessary capacity, but they are an official partner so no surprise there.

Re: Niantic Settles Pokémon GO Fest Class Action Suit With $1.6 Million Payout

ultraraichu

Read this April 1st and was hoping it was a joke. It does seem generous that Niantic settled instead of going to court (even if they have a billion in revenues), the mentality/greed/entitlement some people have is very disheartening.

When you extend the event both by time and area, refund everyone's ticket, give them $100 in-game credits, and a legendary Pokemon, yet still want more.

Re: New Fire Emblem Warriors DLC Content Is Now Available For Purchase

ultraraichu

Pushed the update as soon as it reached 8pm last night. This was my most anticipated of the 3 since I'm mostly familiar with the characters and story in Awakening compared to the others since it's the 1st FE game I played completely.

Also the update comes as a real Blessing (lol) for me since I can make it more challenging and get more materials.

Re: Be Afraid, Will.i.am Wants To Make "The Next Pokémon GO"

ultraraichu

Well more of #thatPower to him, but unfortunately there are quite a number of Pokemon Go Clones on the market right now that been around for months.

Off the top of my head Garfield Go, Draconius Go, Jurassic World Alive (not sure if it came out yet), and every game made by Pocket Catch Games (cat, girlfriend, pony, etc.) to name a few.

Re: Video: Will Super Smash Bros. Switch Be a Port or a Brand New Game?

ultraraichu

Can’t watch the video atm(work), but I think the reason I wasn’t so hyped about the teaser trailer was because I didn’t know if it was a Deluxe version or a sequel.

On one hand Nintendo and other publishers is on the tread of bringing improved versions of Wii U (and other platform) games on the Switch. On the other hand, why make a teaser trailer for an enhanced port when all the others got a flat out trailer.

Also I was thinking at first 2018 was too soon for a smash sequel (with the 2 years of dlc support) and with the Switch in its first year. Then I remembered SSB Melee came out 2 years after the 1st as a launch title for the GameCube, so I guess it’s possible.

I’m happy either way, it’s just a difference between and

Re: Poll Data Suggests Switch Owners Are More Into Mobile Games Than Their Console Friends

ultraraichu

I think it's because the "hardcore" gamers normally found on console games hate mobile games like it's Skynet ready to Terminate traditional gaming. Casual gamers plays whatever.

It's kind of funny since I do spend a lot of time playing smartphone games, but the ones I play the most is licensed by Nintendo. I wonder if that also contribute to brand interest with mobile gamers.

Re: You Can Now Buy Super Mario Cereal Without The Amiibo Functionality

ultraraichu

Glad the cereal is staying around longer. It's my new favorite marshmallow based cereal since they discontinued Kaboom and removed marshmallows from AlphaBits (dislike the taste of Lucky Charms). They don't stock it in my neighborhood so I have to go the extra distance for a few boxes.

The Cereal's amiibo matters little to me since I already use my large amiibo collection for in-game features. I have 2 on the side so far just to give away.

Re: Feature: The Big Nintendo Direct Summary - 8th March

ultraraichu

I really enjoyed it overall.

I had minimal interest for Mario Tennis Aces until I saw this direct. The new style of gameplay and mechanism piqued my interest on what I originally thought was Mario Tennis with story mode and online for traditionalist with gimmicks people avoid.

I also would never expect them to have a Splatoon 2 DLC pack quite like this or ever, so that was a hype shock.
Similar surprise with Crash Bandicoot but only because I thought they were unofficially with Sony, like second party or something. Forgot they had games for the Wii as well

Smash bros is awesome, but like with Metroid Prime 4, Pokemon, and Fire Emblem for Switch, I cant get hype up over a tease.

Re: Toys R Us Is Preparing To Liquidate Its U.S. Business, Reports Claim

ultraraichu

First Circuit City Now Toys R Us. Seem like the places I got some of the best memories and weekly/holiday sales are going away. Still remember getting a good portion of wave 1 amiibo, including the rare ones like Marth and Wii Fit Trainer with 3 for 30 sale the first week of release.

With retail stores rent and maintenance becoming more expensive and online stores becoming more convenient on both side, I wouldn't be surprised if GameStop start closing some of their stores down because of the times.

Not that I want that to happen but it's hard not to think it when most vocal people boast about getting their physical game on Amazon for a cheaper price than stores and digital with 20% off and free shipping to boot.

Re: Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Trilogy Secures Western April Release On Switch

ultraraichu

I would get it just so I can play with Nintendo’s button layout. I tried playing 3 on steam but over 26 years of YXBA hinders me on the context sensitive scenes out of habit. Also I skipped 1 and 2 since I didn’t have a gaming pc at the time.

My main complaint is that they didn’t opt to release Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Legacy instead which has all 4 with Road to Boruto, unless they are planning to release it separate later. Guess they could do worse and just release the 4th one only.

Re: Soapbox: My Nintendo's Updated Rewards Scheme Is Anything But Rewarding

ultraraichu

I love Club Nintendo too but I remembered a few things that was irkish to me like

Buying, registering (with included unused code), and answering 2-3 survey for certain first-party hardware and software titles by Nintendo and limited third-party softwares.

Expiring surveys if you download since it enters it in automatically compare to physical codes.

Different regions (mostly Japan) having the more interesting rewards

My Nintendo can still use a lot of work with this a step in the right direction per se, I just can't highly prise a 7-13 year old reward program that ended better than it started with its fair share of complains to a 2 year old program that is trying to improve, no hate.

Re: Mechanica Scraps Her Way To Victory In The Latest ARMS Party Crash

ultraraichu

Congrats. If I was only better at using Mechanica abilities with motion controls, she would have been my go to for this event.

Thank you everyone who commented on the past Party Crash badges. Have the game since launch but this was the 1st event I got to play without life unexpected plans or flu recovery. I only shot for level 10, but now I'll aim higher to get what I missed.

Re: You Can Now Spend Your My Nintendo Gold Points On Digital Switch Purchases

ultraraichu

300 Gold Coins for $59.99 is a better upgrade from the 60 coins before, especially if they have any discounts/digital contents worth redeeming. Bummed that it converts to 5% compared to the 10% DDP for Wii U but it can be said there are way more games worth downloading compare to Wii U (joking around there). At least I wouldn’t worry about wasting Gold Coins anymore.

Also I mostly buy my eshop credits from eBay when they have it for 15% off ($50 code for $42.50) from time to time so it’s toppings on my digital ice cream for me.

Re: Nintendo Changes Requirements For Its Controversial YouTube Creators Program

ultraraichu

Reads headline: "Nintendo Changes Requirements For Its Controversial YouTube Creators Program"

Reads article: "YouTube recently changed its Partners Program requirements"....."The Nintendo Creators Program requires agreement to and participation in the YouTube Partner Program"

NL:"What do you think? Is this a reasonable move on Nintendo’s part?"

I hope you guys are testing us on our reading, comprehensive, and rational skill and not trying to shot the messenger.

Re: Nintendo Confirms ARMS Won't Be Getting Any More Major Content Updates

ultraraichu

I’m ok with no more major updates. 15 fighters with different customizations and playstyles, can’t say I’m disappointed, especially in an age where creators can charge for dlcs characters and weapons.

I still want to partake in a Party Crash event. Something Always comes up that prevent me from taking part in it. Just weird timing for me.

Re: Miitomo Meets Its End On 9th May

ultraraichu

Bummer to see it go. I only have 2 close friends on it but we kept it pretty lively in our group. Even though we don't login as much as we did months ago (unless I remind one of them), it was the only "game" we can "play" together on equal grounds. Plus extra Platinum coins.

I was hoping they would implement the custom miis as Switch avatars like they did with Super Mario Run (going to miss that one), but I guess that dream will die.

Re: Nintendo Download: 21st December (North America)

ultraraichu

@JJ286 Oboro and Niles is also playable along with support conversations, 3 new skills to learn (Lethality, Counter, & Amaterasu), 3 History maps featuring the new characters, new costumes for the Fates characters with a new weapon attribute to unlock for each of them, and a item that helps speed up the character bonds.

Re: ARMS Version 5.0 is Launching Tomorrow

ultraraichu

I admit I haven't played ARMS since the update with Lola Pop. It's not that I was burned out or anything like that, Splatoon 2 and Fire Emblem Warriors just pulls my attention away.
Since I have a 5 day weekend, I'll try to make time to play again.

Re: Nintendo Download: 21st December (North America)

ultraraichu

I do want Tiny Metal but due to money shortage and time for other Switch games, I'll pass for now.

I'm surprised Nintendolife didn't report that Fire Emblem Warriors: DLC Pack #1 Fates have come out last night.
Azura is the most interesting character I played as since Tiki.

Re: Reggie on Mario, Zelda, and Splatoon Sales Performance on the Switch

ultraraichu

Seeing as the Nintendo Switch have run me broke (something that never happened with the Wii U) buying all those games and then some in a short timeframe, I say it well earned. Too many great games, not enough time and/or money.

I am looking forward to 2018. I'm pretty sure every 3rd party developer in their right mind have already started working on games to release next year with the raising install base. No question 1st party titles will be there.

Re: Splatoon 2’s Clam Blitz Update Is Now Live

ultraraichu

It have been along while since I played a non Salmon Run/Splatfest mode. Ironically it's easier for me to find time to play something that have a "limit" time window than something I can play whenever (per say).

May this break me away from Fire Emblem Warriors and Mobile Nintendo games.
