I don't like this. I know you're going to write just as much about Nintendo as you always did, but I liked it when you guys were dedicated to Nintendo stuff.
And sure, give the Move the slicker site, and leave us with this whiteness.
I wasn't really worried about this, but more worried that if this game gets popular, Activision will want to churn out a new game every year with only minor differences, even after everyone stops caring. Activision is pretty notorious for doing that (Call of Duty, Tony Hawk, anyone?)
Well... sweet for you U.K. people. I like Dr. Who. I'm not sure I would pick these up even if it does come to NA because licensed games aren't usually good. The cover art makes it look like one of those games.
I'm curious to how easy it would be to draw with this thing. What I mean is how accurate can your drawing be if the drawing is appearing on a different area than where you are drawing? As in, since you can't put the pen directly on where the drawing will show up, how will you know where to put your pen to attach an arm to a body? It seems a bit hard.
@Kawaiipikachu: Or some pirate made a very special cover art for you...
From the looks of it, it sounds like it's the same disc in a new box. It's a disgrace that a new DVD published in 2010 does not have Widescreen support, considering a lot of people (including me) have a Widescreen TV.
Sounds awesome. I will love to try it when he releases it. I find it odd though; Activision would order someone to make an NES turntable back then wouldn't they?
Hopefully this next one is HD and gets rid of the friend codes (At least make it so we only need one Friend Code, Ninty!). I would love it if it had player profiles and achievements, too, and was always online, just like the other consoles.
Nice. The only one I don't really understand is Mario Kart. Seriously, a Top-Down Mario Kart? The series always had a behind-the-kart perspective, Super Mario Kart even used Mode 7 to make it at least psuedo-3D
C'mon, if this is true, hit NA with 3D awesomeness before Christmas. Then again, I don't fancy waiting in a line that might just sprawl out of my local Best Buy (How many of you got a Wii in 2006? Anyone?), so maybe not.
@Coyote37: The Wikipedia Article (link above) also said that "Online play is still in development." I'm guessing this means that they're working on it.
@Slapshot82: What? This game is a Wii exclusive. Are you talking about a different basketball game? EDIT: The Wikipedia Article on the game says that ratings for 360 and PS3 versions have appeared on the USK and ESRB sites, but they weren't announced. Hopefully it was just an accident or something; I want this game to stay Wii exclusive.
Dang, I guess my date of date announcement prediction of November 20th was wrong... so I'll make a prediction that it will release between September 30th and March 30th and retail between $0.01 USD to Infinity. Cheating, I know
UPDATE: I made a countdown on my desktop sidebar for the announcement of the release date. THAT'S how much I'm anticipating the 3DS.
Yay, the link is working again! Just played a round, and it's the weirdest thing I ever played. Seriously, when they say it's not Tetris, they ain't joking.
@Stardust: That's very true. When TWO of the three video stores around me closed, I blamed Netflix. Still a good service though, although I don't like how Wii Netflix doesn't have a search function.
Not a surprise. Why Nintendo churns out crappy spin offs between real games we'll never know. Then again I don't play Pokemon anymore so I guess I shouldn't care
Nintendo, does this mean that you finally opened the doors to homebrew and allowed small developers to make games for your system?
Because there is something Ninty doesn't understand. If you want to get rid of piracy, you can allow anyone to make games and release them for free through your website (like the Apple App Store). That way, the hackers won't have to find a way to bypass the system and get homebrew running, and the Pirates will be left in the dark without a usable exploit. It's as simple as that.
@nintendonerd147: Uh, as in it's not the kind of 3D Nintendo 64 and up gave, but the kind of 3D that pops out of the screen and you would normally need glasses for?
Hopefully this 3G thing is free, I don't want to have to pay money just to connect anywhere I want. And if it is, do it Nintendo! I've always dreamed of gaming online anywhere...
Oh, and @Ricardo91: This isn't for WiiWare/VC, it's for retail games you buy at the store. Those wouldn't fit on an SD card (unless you have an 8+ GB card or used Wiiscrubber to remove the excess memory, but you would still only be able to fit in only a few games.
@Codyshelby: Sorry, I wrote the comment before I read a comment above talking about how the 360 does installs, and forgot to edit my post. On the other hand, I already knew it was possible to launch Wii games off of a hard drive with an ordinary HDD and a bit of homebrew. I've already "done my research." I was just trying to say it would be good to have an official method as it would mean that it wouldn't be affected when Ninty pushes new updates that kill the Homebrew Channel and friends.
I guess this could help me see if I'll like the original... if it IS the original with more stuff than I guess I won't have to get that but oh well we'll see.
YES!!! An official way to install games on a Nintendo system to play without disk!
It does make since, the 360 lets you install games to the hard drive, so if Nintendo could make a way to install disks to a hard drive, it would be great.
Of course, we just have to wait and see if this will really roll out the door. And speaking of game installs, I hope that that rumor that 3DS lets you install games is true too.
