I won’t be touching FIFA 19 after FIFA 18 reminded me how crap and boring a sport football actually is and it utterly fails to make an exciting video game experience.
I wish they have been successful and got fortnite shutdown.
Fortnite is one of the worst games ever “invented” and is THE most overrated game ever made. A shooter for children with poor mechanics and a pointless goal. 0/10 is too high a score for this polished turd.
Would be a lot better if they revealed they’d finally killed these crap characters off.
Sonic was the hard edged more attitude filled side of the character coin from Mario. When sonic team decided to Disney-up their sonic roster, it was the start of its rapid death
@garydbz25 that’s just EA dude, and it’s evident in all their sports games on all formats. It’s not an issue localised to this single release on switch.
Unfortunately EA are amazing at business, securing IP and marketing.... not so much at actually developing games.
I bought FIFA 18 on Switch this week as amazon were selling it for £20 and figured it was worth that much.
What it did is: •show an actually playable video game. •minus some revolutionary features that were introduced on Wii U. Being able to organise substitutions on the touch screen while playing the game was an amazing feature. Having to pause to substitute is crap. •revealed football, yet again and forever more, as the most boring and slowest sport ever conceived.
But the FUT mode has found me coming back for more and is actually a competent online gaming experience. Falls massively short of the 2K sports franchises-and even its cousins in the NHL and Madden form factors, but they are just better sports and translate into video game media more naturally, bit none the less, not bad EA. Improving on this and returning to Switch again for the 19 iteration might see me investing earlier than the price drop to £20 point in its lifecycle
Ordered one cause I want one. Couldn’t resist selling my last one as they were going for 3 tines what I paid for it. Now here effectively dirt cheap for a brand spanner, I’ll get another one now
@NEStalgia everything Sony has ever released has always been a “Me-Too!!!” Following a Nintendo innovation.
That being said, while ergonomics were perfectly rectified in the form of the GameCube controller, the N64 was a mikes more ergonomic than the cannablised SNES pad form factor of the appalling PsOne controller, and waaaasay more ergonomic than what sega were putting out. If anything the N64 controller was the first console controller to adopt an ergonomic consideration in its design.
@Anti-Matter xmen vs street fighter and street fighter alpha 3 were appalling on PSONE. I’d rather they made a mini Saturn with the proper arcade perfect versions of both those game along with games like Panzer Dragoon Saga, Burning Rangers and Other classics that would otherwise cost an utter fortune and not available anywhere else.
@NEStalgia The N64!controller revolutionised everything in terms of controllers and brought everything forward a huge step just like the console.
3D analogue stick? The N64 Controller. Rumble feedback? The N64 Controller. Dual movement controls (now dual sticks) The N64 Controller It was designed from its inception to give dual movement control without sacrificing the D-Pad, some games even went as far as letting you use two controllers per player to enable dual sticks if you wanted. Everything after was an idea taken from this controller.
WWF No Mercy. Conkers Bad Fur Day Rogue Squadron Goldeneye Paper Mario Mischief Makers LoZ: Ocarina of Time LoZ: Majora’s Mask Super Smash Brothers F-Zero X 1080 Snowboarding Donkey Kong 64 Banjo Kazooie Banjo Tooie Doom 64 Quake Silicon Valley Sin & Punishment Star Fox 64 Excitebike 64 Mystical Ninja starting Goemon Castlevania Jet Force Gemini
Release those on it. Sort out the licensing whereby the publishers receive a nominal percentage of each unit sold.
Or release a first party one only that can connect to the Nintendo account and initialise a store where ex N64 developers can release their back catalogue on the hardware for a price and a percentage goes to Nintendo
I’d rather get classic games released in packages like the street fighter 30th anniversary collection and mega man x collections all on physical cartridges than purchasing each one individually on digital only
@electrolite77 FIFA 95 brought football to video gaming that was playable. It’s brogutb nothing new since then and just got more crap and cash grabby ever since.
It is an appalling game. Loved only by people who sadly worship soccer and other wimp sports and idolise chavs being paid millions irrespective that the game they just paid £50 for is in fact a steaming pile of turd.
@electrolite77 2006? Hahaha wow, if you play FIFA today and believe you’re playing a quality title.... then..... bless you.
“FIFA is terrible” is a true statement applied to any year it has been made. It peaked with FIFA 95 and went downhill will undulations after that. It’s garbage.
@gatorboi352 I honestly wouldn’t. I’ve got all formats and play all formats.
Ranked: 1-Switch 2-PS4 3-XBoxOne(of at all-worst for at ever made)
I played god of war 1 and 2. While mindless fun, they were brilliant games. By God of War III it was boring and I stopped playing around half way through and never went back to it. It was just dull. Never picked God of war up at all again after that. Wouldn’t buy the new one at all on any format. The series peaked at 2 definitely.
However, if you’ve never played any of the God of War games, this looks like the best one and probably where you should start and finish your experience of the franchise.
Those franchises have had their times when they’ve produced a good game. But to consistently chart top regardless of any discernible merit. Primarily EA sports games are the best example. They are all terrible, but FIFA will be a number one seller, in the UK only because of the plethora of chat culture we have that love video Hanes where they can play Football/shooting guns/pretend to be vin diesel in need for speed 32, or whatever they are up to now. Probably half of the Uk Chart at most times will fall into the category of “Call of FIFA Diesel” and they are relatively turd, with sometimes a nugget of “that one was OK”
CoD would work well in a battle Royale format as the current two games of thisbfirnst don’t interest me at all. Whereas a more tactical forces looking approach is way more appealing and maybe the reshuffle the stale format of CoD needs

Re: WWE 2K19 Is Officially Skipping Nintendo Switch, 2K Games Confirms
It was crap across all formats.
Only hardcore fans would buy it, play it and put up with the catalogue of failings it brought with it. Sales figures just won’t justify it on switch.
Re: EA Sports Vice President Says FIFA 19 Will Be Upfront About FUT Card Pack Odds

Turd through and through.

As long as we get Doom eternal.... I’m happy
Re: PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds Creator Drops Lawsuit Against Fortnite
@FTPinkRabbit I just wanted it shut down because it’s crap and I’m sick of hearing about it.
Re: 2K Announces Carnival Games For Nintendo Switch, Partying Hard This November
2K should hurry up and announce they are making NHL 2K19 for Switch. Then I’d be happy

All ordered
Re: Review: Street Fighter 30th Anniversary Collection (Switch)

Eh? It has a wire!? Where am I plugging that into then? Surely this should be a wireless pad?
Re: Exploring The Legalities Of Sony's Fortnite Restrictions On Nintendo Switch
Is the second statement in the sub heading to this article even a question?
Re: No, EA Hasn't Tinkered With FIFA 18 Following The World Cup Update
While EA notoriously output garbage games spruced up with marketing and lies. Unfortunately no amount of glitter can change the turd that is football.
Such a boring sport, and in turn video game. Sad really. Bring NHL and Madden to switch soon please EA
Re: WWE 2K19 Might Be Skipping Nintendo Switch
No great loss, WWE 2K18 was crap on all formats and WWE as a whole is currently at its worst and least interesting in its entire history

@Ryu_Niiyama EXACTLY!!!!
Good man.
Every sports sim is in the shadow of NHL. Wish they’d go for hat first over FIFA every time

Although doubtful given Capcom’s Over stingey approach in carts selected for their games.
Half release on a cart with huge download for remaining game.

Monster Hunter 5 on Switch please.

@darthstuey downloaded. Totally bypassed me. Shame I’ve got to play it on my crap PS4 when would be miles better and get more playtime on my Switch

Re: God Of War And Far Cry 5 Push Nintendo Labo Into Third Place In The UK Charts
That’s because general gamers in this country are idiot and generally buy whatever big poster is on a bus.
That’s why GTA/COD/FIFA are consistently chart toppers and are not in any other country
Re: HAMSTER Reveals Next Batch Of Sports Heavy Neo Geo Releases
@KingSandyRavage hang on!!!! That totally passed me by. It’s already available on PS4!? When did that happen!?
Why does that mean it won’t be one switch also?
Re: HAMSTER Reveals Next Batch Of Sports Heavy Neo Geo Releases
@darthstuey when did that happen? Been waiting for Windjammers to be ported for over 20 years now.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend?
Picked Labo up this afternoon. Couldn’t resist any longer.
It is awesome and massively impressive. Had totally gripped my 5 and 8 year old too
