I wouldn't have bought arceus if the reviews haven't been so missleading... the game was pretty crappy and for some reason reviews said its a 9/10 some even said 10/10... its like the sonic cycle people like me need a long time to learn it

I think its good to sometimes look back there just should be no extremes. If you look too much into the past its unhealthy as well as if you never look into the past. As always in life, something inbetween is the right thing. I think this archieve is awesome to be honest

metaverse is just a buzzword. a big metaverse like the oasis is just technology wise extremely difficult.

ok the demo looks already a lot better but still as someone with an art background this game has an art director problem. there are very easy things that would make this game look sooo much better... from repeating looking tiles to zero variation in the trees... also the colors in some areas are without color shifting and look bad because of that

@Bobb but you know that on games like xenoblade work dozens of game designers right?

sounds and looks a lot like the tokyo rpg factory games... they also always tell everyone they want to make golden age like rpgs but their graphics look always super low budget and their games were generic and forgetable... i think saying that this is "polished for modern era" is just a pure lie...

Maybe I formulated this wrong.
I think its always better to steal and adapt/change, never just to steal. that guy could have done an awesome more unique game with his time. My point was more that a ***** storm just won't change anything than destroying this guys life for quite a while. a ***** storm is not appropriate for this. people need to relax a bit more

That might be true but there is a simple solution for it.
A) If this is an issue for Nintendo they will stop it before it comes out.
B) People do clearly see that this is a Zelda Copy Cat, either they punish it by not buying the game or they buy it because they want to see more in that style.
***** storming a small indie developer is always bad. Those guys usually work their ass off and then get a ***** load of mean comments... and for what ? to punish him? it makes no sens to ***** storm in that case

most fan made and non fan made HD texture packs look bad but this one looks great. very respectful to the original game.

What was the last Sega inhouse game, that is not yakuza, any good . I would not put my hopes to high here.

I think the problem is that the new style is just not very beautiful.
They for sure have just a small budget and need to work with it but hmm I don't know I could imagine more visual brilliance.

anyway the game won't die for me with the art direction, I'm going to buy it

it makes not much sense. breath of the wild 2 might come out around march next year, i see no way they release 6 month before another zelda game. those releases are always roughly with a 1 year inbetween

the company is exploiting their employees i wouldn't buy anything from them... also their bosses became multi millionairs recently and did not change anything in the work culture since then

this is so ridiculous XD... there is DLC that is essentially a totally normal part of the game and now we should pay extra for it... so this is the next step after NFTs to get the money from the poor people (not to say that this handfull of old games cost 40 and people complained about the mario 3d allstars collection lol)

@RubyCarbuncle relaxe! those ports sell pretty good (mario 3d world, donkey kong etc). as long as people buy them there are going to be more ports, deal with it.

I have this and I'm a big picross fan but this really feels so loveless... i prefer the other picross games... even the zelda one from the 3ds is better in my opinion.

Hmm the new Character Artworks look actually better (in my opinion) but the other changes ingame I will turn off, since they mostly look worse.

As someone who diggs into pixel art a lot, I'm very very very happy that this horrible background filter can be turned off... I wish we would have the same options for all the Square Enix Remasters (and hopefully we have it for all future remasters)

I really don't see the age limit thing though... There are dozens of Japanese Games who do that but what I saw here seems like all sexualized girls look grown up ( I didn't watch the trailer too carefully, maybe I missed something)

its the most promising looking pokemon games since years. although its still technicaly crap looking, the level design looks already SOOO much better than Arceus (actually the whole game does look a lot better)

Pretty sure those games could run well on the switch but they don't take their time for optimization. I mean who could blame them, even some nintendo second party developers like game freak do care about this a lot...
I always think that monolith soft is the best example how to do performance right on the switch.

its now the 12742 episode of this series on the switch, why does it has still performance issues? i played the first one on switch and it was barely playable with its 15 fps

even thought mario odyssey is great but it has no right to be that high up in the first place. It's not even the best Mario Game...

I think that is an overuse of this style...
