Re: Review: Freedom Wars Remastered (Switch) - A Fair Reprieve For One Of PS Vita's Best

@Overzeal There are other parts of the net that live and breath any micro controversy that get any within the vicinity of the sacred bubble. All NL has to do is review the game as is, they are not beholden or owed anyone to start playing the role of doomsdayer.

The vast majority of users don't here don't care and well, as the saying goes by a certain crowd "let's not start catering to the demands of the minority"

@Ryu_Niiyama You only said a couple of words. Silver on the other hand explained what I guess you were trying to say better.

But I do think you are taking it a bit too personally. No one attacked you or anything. Just replied.

If are one of those individuals who struggle conveying thoughts in written form that's totally fine. A lot of people are like that. But try not to get frustrated at people who are just talking to you, not down at you.

Re: Anniversary: Nintendo Is 135 Years Old Today

@TheSaneInsanity Well just to be that guy, it's quite impossible for 8 billion people to get along.

Keep in mind that despite millions of years, human history is just a very small drop in the bucket. To be frank we are still quite primitive in our behaviors even though we're far more along than our ancient ancestors.

We still struggle just trying to cope with each others existence despite sharing this world for thousands of years. Not in our lifetime, not the next generation and most likley for many generations to come will will all of humanity learn to get along.

Re: ICYMI: Yes, Dungeons Return In The Legend Of Zelda: Echoes Of Wisdom

Quiet2down

@Sonicka Eh, Im going to call sus on that. My evidence?@VoidofLight and the timing of the comments.

Looking at the timing of each comment, @VoidofLight and @RygelXVIII were in constant communication. Yet @VoidofLight only called out @SpaceboyScreams which comment didn't appear till much later.

Now certainly if @VoidofLight was upset enough to call out @SpaceboyScreams, they would have done the same the moment they replied to @RygelXVIII if that were the case. As it can't be possible for @RygelXVIII to have edited their comment before @VoidofLight saw it, but after @SpaceboyScreams saw it.

The time frame and @VoidofLight comment just doesn't support the idea @RygelXVIII started it first.

Re: Pokémon Emerald ROM Hack Contains Redrawn Sprites From 130 Artists

Quiet2down

@jetsetradion Honestly I'm surprised at alot of things that pass here. Can't tell if it's genuine enthusiasm or some motive behind it.

One day NL is giving you news about a lawsuit, the next an article about a game from 2004 having a 20th celebration by promoting a rom hack.

I mean for a celebration for what I guess was a huge game (I don't remember it being that huge) the article doesn't come off as being truly enthusiastic and happy about this 20th anniversary.

It's just "Hey, it's been 20 years ya know? Anyways here's a rom hack have fun"

Re: Review: Beyond Good & Evil: 20th Anniversary Edition (Switch) - Beyond Good, Still

Quiet2down

@Coalescence How does any of that equal someone is miserable? People are free to not support a bad company/bad individual. There is a line that should be drawn.

No company/individual is perfect. However there is limit to how much support one should give. Maybe people who keep saying that quote should just admit they rather pretend a problem doesn't exist as an excuse to keep enjoying something.

Re: Sony On Zelda Live-Action Movie: Miyamoto Has A Really "Strong" Vision

Quiet2down

@sportvater Actually it's a movie aimed at all ages. With that said, just because a movie is aimed at kids doesn't mean it should treat kids like they incapable of understanding anything.

Pixar, Disney, Sutdio Ghibli , Laika, and even Dreamworks are aimed for families and kids. A movie can have depth, kids are capable of grasping concepts even if they don't understand it yet.

Mario sacrificed all substance. Which is fine. The movie plays it extremely safe, but it could have been so much more had the studio just had confidence.

Re: Zelda Live-Action Movie Director Confident "Fans Are Gonna Be Happy"

Quiet2down

@RiasGremory JJ's Star Wars was just going be a giant retread. The guy plays it as safe as possible.

What 7, 8, and 9 should've been were new stories. Instead of moving Star Wars forward, The franchise is static. Too busy trying to milk the orignal films for all thier worth.

Just about every film, and spinoff is set within the Skywalker era because it's a safer bet, than actually risking something new.

Lastly, you need to give some blame to JJ as well. Regardless of what happened, he was responsible for the last film. He did what he was always going to do from the beginning. Retreading old territory.

He made those terrible choices in the final film.

Re: Garry's Mod Is Removing "All Nintendo Related Stuff From Steam Workshop"

Quiet2down

@sikthvash Mario and Luigi are real names that predate the videogames characters. Nintendo couldn't do a thing about anyone naming their kids Mario or Luigi.

Charizard however is an original name, and while I doubt Nintendo would go after parents over it, unless they're profiting off the name; said child should immediately removed from your care as clearly you don't care enough about the child's well being to give them such a ridiculous name to begin with.

Re: Lara Croft's Pinup Posters Go Missing In Tomb Raider I-III Remastered

Quiet2down

@TruthisRare Agreed. They hate attractive women so much they replaced Lara in the remakes with an equally attractive woman who's a mixture of various attractive women modeled into an original design.

Even now with this remaster, they updated the ps1 graphics with an HD version of the same character keeping her as close to a 1:1 of the original.

The hatred for beauty is very strong with CD. I don't know why.

Re: Random: Chris Pratt Looks Back On The Mario Movie With A 'Brilliant' Dad Joke

Quiet2down

@Anti-Matter Honestly, I still don't get why we are comparing the two. Charles voice is over the top on purpose, and Nintendo approved of it, hence why it' s be around all this time.

It would be one thing if Charles did an entire tv show as Mario, then it would be fair to compare how he would perform in a movie. But so far, it's only been random soundbites at the direction of Nintendo, and that's not really fair to hold that against him as proof he couldn't do a Mario movie.

For all we know, he could have done a entirely more normalized voice for the movie if given a chance. It's game vs movie, so I doubt if given the chance, Charles would actually use the typical Mario voice for an entire film.

Usually an actor understands different mediums call for different performances.

Charles has voiced characters outside of Mario. He was the voice of a Dragon in Elder Scrolls Skyrim and voice of one of the villains in the recent Dragon Ball Super movie.

Re: Review: Princess Peach: Showtime! (Switch) - Peach Breaks A Leg In A High-Class Production

Quiet2down

@Diowine I sincerely doubt it's target audience will care that deeply about this game not receiving 1 point higher than 8.

If you go by how American scores homework then:

10/10 = A+
9/10 = A
8/10 = A-

The game still got an A-, it still passed, and again, i doubt the target audience is going to give much care the game didn't get a 9.

Most are more than likely just happy it's getting decent reviewers instead of being a total misfire.

Re: Review: Tomb Raider I-III Remastered (Switch) - The Best Way To Rediscover A Gaming Idol

Quiet2down

@WaveBoy Sure, if you look at it with a rose tinted glasses. Outside of all that goody stuff, there's alot of problems in those era's.

Especially if you were a minority, or a member of the lgbtq community.

While I didn't have a half bad childhood, I wouldn't want to relive that era, because many people outside my personal space went through alot.

Romanticizing the past is fun, but we shouldn't pretend a certain era was better just because we personally had a good time.

Re: Review: Eastward: Octopia (Switch) - A Great Farm Sim Expansion That Edges Out The Base Game

Quiet2down

@JohnnyMind If you are okay with 90% of the game being nothing but dialogue you might have a good time.

Eastward isn't a bad game per say. Just an attempt to make the world seem alive via npc's, they neglected to give you the player freedom to explore much of it.

You spend more time reading than anything else. If you are okay with that, you might be in for a good time.

Re: Sonic Superstars Celebrates 'Sonic X Shadow Generations' With Free Shadow Costume

Quiet2down

@Samalik I agree, the problem however is Sonic Team forcing a canon timeline on these games to give an excuse why certain characters are barred from appearing in games.

Of course, even though I find strange Sonic needs a canon timeline; The issue is, it's a incoherent mess of contraindications and plot holes. It feels like Sonic Team did it just because. All of these games have been poorly stitched together to try and make a singular timeline of events. But it's nonsensical when you break down the stories, the characters, and events from every title.

If Sonic didn't have such a haphazardly put together canon, then everyone's favorite charter would be free to appear anywhere.

It would be one thing if Sonic Team actually over the decades took time to carefully weave their own canon so that everything fits together perfectly. Then, while I may disagree, I could accept why the rules have been placed.

But it's just not. So from pov, adding a multiverse ontop wouldn't do anymore harm to what Sonic Team has already done.

Re: Rumour: Sonic Generations To Be Featured At PlayStation's State Of Play

Quiet2down

@HammerGalladeBro Jokes aside, there will never be a classic version of Shadow or anyone introduced post modern Sonic.

Sega for whatever reason decided to create their own timeline that connects every game together, thus barring Shadow and others from appearing in classic style.

I don't know why they went this route, as none of the games make sense when put in order, but that's their firm decision.

Re: The Mortal Kombat 2 Movie Has Officially Wrapped Filming

Quiet2down

@ottoecamn Nothing wrong with introducing an OC character. The Franchise has being doing it for decades with about every other sequel. MK Armageddon poked fun at that with it's cgi opening.

The problem is not the idea of an OC character, but the fact said character doesn't have room to grow when the movie is cramming in so many other characters into a mess of a plot.

This is why films with too many characters every rarely comes out great. The film was doing way too much in such little runtime.

What the first film should have done is slowly introduce new characters in the sequels. Focus on a core group, then gradually introduce a bigger cast.

Honestly, imo, a live action MK would better as a longform
tv series, than a movie franchise.

Re: Masahiro Sakurai Plans To "Wrap Up" His YouTube Channel This Year

Quiet2down

@Eggolor Not to mean, but your comment comes off like a personal problem. In one breath you admit you haven't watched a single video, yet critize the man based on what random people have said.

Here's the issue. That bulk of people you are complaining about , are less than a fraction of the overall people who enjoy his work.

So, take this as not being mean but as honesty. Stop generalizing so many people into one. for every 5 people you meet that are hardcore fans, there at 20 more people who are just fans and don't worship him.

This so called "legion" of yours are probably no more than some peeps on your favorite forum or even worse Reddit. Again, a very tiny minuscule when you consider Sakurai's reputation on a worldwide scale.

To put in bluntly, you've annoyed yourself for no reason at all.
