I’ll focus mainly on Nintendo first party games along with the occasional XBOX/PS hit from now on. The increase in cost along with a decrease in free time just pushes me to be that much more selective in what I buy.

I had a great weekend playing smash, Mario maker, and Splatoon. Wii U and 3DS online will be missed.

I had a lot of fun playing with the Smash amiibo on Wii U when they came out, but then it turned into a “gotta catch em all” obsession. I’m glad the collection is finally complete. Trying to pre order these when they came out became rather difficult for me.

Yes! What a great surprise! I loved these games and can’t wait to play them again! I always wanted Isaac to be in Smash too. At least he was an assist trophy and a Mii costume.

What a great trip down memory lane. I remember my mind was blown just by the initial reveal that we were getting a new smash bros. for switch. My favorite character reveals were King K. Rool and Ridley, both long requested characters of big Nintendo franchises. If I had to pick one, I would go with King K Rool. That gang plank galleon remix is awesome!

I like seeing where the fighters in Smash Bros. get their moves from. This gives me a new appreciation for Mr. Game & Watch’s moves. Great use of the source material.

Excited for remasters of Mario RPG, Luigi’s Mansion, and Pikmin. New Mario is always something I look forward to so I’m happy with the direct!

The fomo was real. It was an anxiety filled weekend but now it’s all over. Thanks for the guides Nintendo Life. They helped a lot.

Got a bunch of 3d classics, pocket jockey, pushmo, boxboy, affordable space adventures on Wii U, and some other virtual console titles including some old Pokémon games.

It’s a bummer to have things shut down but things change and there’s new games and experiences coming in the future. Honestly, I barely have time to play all the newer games I have on switch.

I really enjoyed badge arcade and customizing my home screen. The bunny was pretty funny. I’ll miss it but I honestly haven’t played it in a long time.

Great guide! I saw a guy in a Nintendo life shirt that day! Wish I would’ve said hi to you! I feel like power up bands are a must to fully enjoy the park and consider an extra battery for your phone too. All the photos / videos and using the Universal app to track my progress with the activities killed my battery. It definitely was crowded and is pricey. If you go, get there early before the park opens, get your power up band first thing, and then enjoy the experience. I’m so glad I went and I think anyone that makes the trip will have a wonderful time!

Here now! Loving it! Lots of fun Mario scenery to enjoy while waiting in line for the Mario Kart ride. Cool merch and lots of photo ops. Nintendo and Mario fans are going to absolutely love it here.

Really cool having Sakurai explain how smash came about. It’s very interesting to see how he wanted to change the idea of traditional fighting games and obviously it worked out. I enjoyed the video and I’m looking forward to more!

The best track ever? I think it’s the main theme from The Legend of Zelda. It has lived on forever and been updated for years with new Zelda games.

From just a nostalgia perspective, the first level of yoshi’s island on SNES has been stuck in my head since childhood. More recently, I think the Smash Bros Ultimate theme is awesome.

I think the movie looks great. Bowser seems really well done and I’m looking forward to hearing Mario and Luigi talk more in the upcoming trailers. I’m excited and will definitely be seeing the movie when it’s out.

Monster hunter rise was my personal game of the year. I had not been sucked into a game like that in a long time. The online multiplayer worked great and with all the different weapons you could use it felt like there was always something new to try. I’ll be looking forward to the DLC.

Monster hunter rise took top spot for most time played. My time spent in docked vs handheld mode is almost even. It’s a cool infographic and I should probably reevaluate how much time I spend gaming… but hey I had fun!

I missed out on this the first time around so I ordered one today. As many will say, I sure hope I’m not waiting until 2023 for it. It does seem like a great product and I’m all about trying preserve my old video games. I definitely beat up my old systems as a kid.

I finally “beat” animal crossing (forgot about the island evals for a long time) and will be checking out the DLC. Metroid dread will be the main focus for the rest of my weekend gaming time.

Recently finished Age of Calamity. Determined to finish castlevania circle of the moon before I start Metroid dread. I need to be better about finishing the games I start. Those GBA castlevania games were some of my favorites.

I’ve enjoyed seeing the Smash Bros series grow since it began. It’s been so much fun and I’ve always been excited to see new characters added. I’m glad to see so many people have also enjoyed Smash Bros. Thank you Sakurai and the Smash Bros team.

The reveal definitely had the feel of “this is the final character.” I thought it was very well done. I was always excited to see which new characters were being added to Smash over the years. I’m going to miss the hype of new character reveals, but Smash will still be one of my favorite games and I’ll continue to enjoy it. A big thank you to Sakurai and everyone who has been working on Super Smash Bros.
