Re: Nintendo Switch Players Advised To Secure Accounts After Numerous Unauthorised Login Reports

HistoricKombat

@Amin_Parker

I am aware Sony got hacked in 2011 and they did poor job communicating with customers about it all. The waited too long to address the compromised information which resulted lawsuits. In addition, the compromised info was reported not encrypted aside from credit cards. Also, I never said I was rooting entirely for the competition. I am a fan of Sony and Nintendo, otherwise I would not have an account on Nintendo Life, or own several Sony and Nintendo products. I am just saying Nintendo needs to do is let customers know they are working behind the scenes to improve their security as well recommending security measure which the latter was the least they done. I get it, hackers happen and no online security is absolute but I am criticizing Nintendo for not looking into improving their security.

Re: No Joke, WayForward's Cat Girl Without Salad: Amuse-Bouche Is Out Now On Switch

HistoricKombat

@DockEllisD

I would say a slight miss...it has good ideas that should of been fleshed out more, only three levels...that's it. Animations are limited as if Wayforward was on a tight budget with time constraints though I am not confirming that was the case, that just how the game looks like to me. I do however like the humorous banter between character, looks like the effort went to most of the writing and voice acting. I would actually recommend this game but for only $2.99 at most, $7.99 is too high.

Re: Alien Hominid Invasion Is The Behemoth's Run 'N' Gun Classic 'Reimagined' On Switch

HistoricKombat

I remember playing Alien Hominid on my internet browser way back. I enjoyed it so much, I got hyped up when I discovered they released a console version on PS2. Of course, I also bought the HD release on XBox Live Arcade as well. With most games releasing digitally these days, I am surprised that Alien Hominid HD has not seen a release on Steam and PSN. It is good to know The Behemoth has not abandoned the IP...though I am still hoping for a re-release of the HD version of the original game on Switch, perhaps bundle it with Invasion.

Re: Sonic The Hedgehog Is Now Available At The Build-A-Bear Workshop

HistoricKombat

@AlphaElite

I know you are only joking but it is possible that Build-A-Bear started production on their plush before Sonic got a redesign for the movie so they couldn't go back to fix it. Sometimes in business, they have move forward with what they have with no chance to make changes.

I do find it kind of odd for Build-A-Bear to make a Sonic design from scratch when they already made one for the modern version Sonic and Tails characters in 2016.

Re: You Don't Need To Play Persona 5 To Enjoy The Story In Persona 5 Scramble

HistoricKombat

@JR150 Um, that is what EBay Descriptions, Returns and Paypal Disputes are for. You can still find a functioning PS3 with barely any problems as long you're are not stupid. It is not like that the PS3 had very common occurrence of hardware failure like the 360 (i.e. Red Ring of Death)

Also, why would someone buy an RPG they clearly don't have time. Persona 5 takes time to play, so I would argue that if you can play a lengthy RPG, you have free time somewhere in your schedule.

Sure, it would be cool to have Persona 5 on the Swtich but every mainline game in the series has always been exclusive to a Playstation console despite spinoff releases of Persona 4 Arena on the 360 and Persona Q on the 3DS, not to mention guest appearances in Blazblue: Cross Tag Battle. A Switch port of Persona 5 or any mainline game is improbable.

Re: You Don't Need To Play Persona 5 To Enjoy The Story In Persona 5 Scramble

HistoricKombat

May I remind everyone that Persona 5 is also on Playstation 3, which I hear is an above serviceable port, and the PS3 is dirt cheap these days, for a console anyways. So there is no excuse to not to play Persona 5. As for me, I have a stable job so I will be buying Persona 5 Royal when it is released on PS4, as well as Persona 5 Scramble. I am also hoping for a Persona 5 Arena as well.

Re: Talking Point: Would You Like Miiverse To Return On Switch?

HistoricKombat

Miiverse is not coming back. Nintendo could decide to develop a successor...in fact, they have with their silly phone app but they might come up with something considering how poor their app is receiving with the critics and fans but this is Nintendo we're talking about, a company that generally does not listen to feedback...well, at least they don't until a few years down the line when they finally acknowledge their failures when it is far too late. I am convinced nothing is coming regarding social media.

Re: Nintendo Switch Version Of Metro Redux Rated By PEGI

HistoricKombat

@SpacedDuck

1. Just because a game runs poorly on PC doesn't mean it won't run better on another platform.

2. Metro Redux runs flawlessly on my PC, probably because I updated my PC over the years with new hardware. You have to install updated hardware to keep up with PC gaming. If your PC cannot play a game as old as Metro Redux, you have outdated tech in your PC.

Re: There's No Need To Be Afraid Of This Day One Update For Luigi's Mansion 3

HistoricKombat

@Kalmaro

Depends on the game, and what features you want use. Of course you want to use the latest patch for online gaming. With most single player games can still be played without patches, although some games are released either incomplete or have more free content after release such as Kirby: Star Allies. Some people may also prefer to go physical to save space on their SD Micros, and collector like to keep games on display on their shelf. Digital or physical, it is your own call what you want to go with. One thing for sure, with every game released today, there will be a patch for it.
