The difference is night and... well, another part of the night. The graphical leaps ain't what they used to be, and I don't think they should be the selling point of Switch 2.
However, if Switch 2 is going to be your main console, enjoy Yakuza 0 on the go, it's a great game.
I can't see me buying the Switch 2 (at least not for some time), so I'm sticking with the original Switch. I'm still playing through DQ III 2D-HD and XCX, and there's plenty more in the backlog that'll work on the original console. If I want Cyberpunk 2077 or Elden Ring I have my gaming PC.
There will always be fanboys on either side, but what it all boils down to is what you want to play. If you want those Nintendo exclusives that are designed to work on the machine you own, buy a Switch 2.
If you're into PC gaming on the go, emulation, and cheaper games, get a Steam Deck.
If you have the money, get both. Hell, if you're doing really well for money, but me one of each while you're at it!
I expect them to wring more out of the current Switch for a while longer through ports (Metroid Prime 2 and 3, Zelda WW and Twilight Princess, maybe even Wooly World) with an announcement for Switch 2 end of Jan, early Feb for an autumn 2025 release.
I have no evidence to go off, it’s just a guess and a smidge of wishful thinking for those ports/remasters.
If your biggest problem in life is the amount of skin being covered up in a game I have no sympathy for you. There are plenty of other places to look at the female form should you wish to. The game will play the same way with or without cleavage.
In looking through my installed games I rediscovered Doom 64, so I’m blasting through that. Need to get back into Xenoblade Chronicles 3 and Dragon Quest XI, too.

Re: Suikoden I & II HD Remaster Updated To Version 1.0.3, Here's What's Included
Picked this up the other day, so it’s nice to see they’ve addressed some of the issues, especially the music speed up issue.

Re: Where To Pre-Order Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition On Switch
@FX29 Same here. It's been sat on the shelf gathering dust for years for some reason.

As a Cornishman living abroad (well, Devon), that Fat Willy’s logo reminds me of home.

More Simpsons taglines, please.
Re: Your 'Nintendo Switch Year In Review 2024' Stats Are Available Now
23 games, 160 hours overall. Not much, but I do play a lot on PC.
1: TotK (41 hours)
2: Pokémon: Let’s Go Eevee! (31 hours)
3: Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door (31 hours)
Must try harder next year as my Switch backlog is full of RPGs.
Re: Nintendo Adds Metroid Prime 4: Beyond To Official Metroid Website, Says It's "Coming Soon"
I suspect this’ll be a cross-gen launch title just as BotW and Twilight Princess were.
Re: Poll: So, Will You Be Getting Xenoblade Chronicles X For Switch?
I still have the original Wii U copy sitting in my backlog, so I may skip that entirely and go for the Switch release.

Re: Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door: All Collectibles, Star Pieces, Badges, Hints & Tips
You might want to update some of these sub-headings to "Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door" rather than "Super Mario RPG"
