So played Neva over a couple of sessions last weekend after borrowing from my partner. Beautiful artwork and soundtrack. Glad to get to it at long last.
Other than that, will be continuing Clair Obscur (I started before one of my workmates and he's now powered past me so need to get back on it). Might be playing some Great Ace Attorney Chronicles too, just starting the 2nd case of the 2nd game so still early doors yet.
I finished up Dragon Quest III HD-2D this morning. Some of the battles got the brain ticking over and were proper squeaky bum time on occasion! Don't know if I'm in a massive rush for the I & II remakes as I like a bit more story/character in my games but for what was there, I quite enjoyed my first foray into the DQ series. Maybe XI one day?
Xenoblade Chronicles X is sitting there ready to go but I might be sneaking in a short indie game like Neva as a pallet cleanser before diving into another time sink.
Getting towards the end of Split Fiction with my partner. Will be sad when it's over as we've really enjoyed the games those guys make. She bought me the Apollo Justice trilogy for my birthday too so look forward to diving in at some point.
My partner and I finished up the final trial of the first Great Ace Attorney Chronicles game during the week. Really enjoyed it and look forward to jumping into the next one (might be taking a break to play Split Fiction).
Personally working my way through Dragon Quest III HD-2D. So far enjoying it, the music is beautiful. I do miss having defined characters as party members though but Danger Susan (Priest), Captain Bam (Martial Artist/Warrior) and Robin Sod (Thief) will do for now.
Had pre-ordered Xenoblade Chronicles X but alas, it has not arrived. In a bad habit of stockpiling games again (also bought Suikoden I/II as I missed out on them during my PS1 childhood).
Finished up FFXVI recently so I've made a start on Dragon Quest III HD-2D. Partner and I are also in the home stretch of the 1st game in The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles so will likely sweep that up this weekend.
Away on holiday for a few nights this afternoon so unlikely to get to more Star Ocean Second Story R. Loaded up the Switch with some multiplayer games since the weather forecast looks...well British. So maybe a bit of Mario Wonder, my partner mentioned Warioware so might go back to that. We've been playing Phogs on PS5 so that'll have to wait til we get back. The verbal abuse the NPCs get when they don't give us pets...have a good weekend folks!
Really enjoy reading this one! A Nintendo Life charity stream one day perhaps?
My partner and I decided to do this a while back, but a quarter a session. We just marked up who finished in front of the other and despite my partner complaining she's rubbish and that she got blue-shelled more than anyone (TMKB!) any time I won, she scored a dominant victory overall by a good old margin 55-41. Totally understand running the gauntlet of emotions though!
Had a week off work so I've managed to make some headway with Xenoblade Chronicles 3 (started Chapter 5) and I'm loving it so far. My partner finished all the shrines in TOTK and finally ran credits after beating the final boss so think she's moving on to Jedi Survivor next.
Together, we finished up Portal 2 co-op during the week so we got to feel like a pair of clever clogs. Either Super Mario Wonder or TMNT Shredders Revenge next methinks.
Then off to a cocktail bar in the closest city to us that's currently running a Mario theme. Enjoy the weekend folks!
I started Xenoblade Chronicles 3 a week or so ago so looking forward to losing myself in that. Other than that, I've bought Warioware and Trombone Champ for my partner and I to have fun with over Xmas.
All the best for the festive season everyone. Wishing you health, wealth and happiness
Finished up Xenoblade 2's DLC Torna the Golden Country during the week. Thoroughly enjoyed it so now playing the Yuffie DLC for FF VII Remake on PS5 to take advantage of the new OLED TV.
On the Switch front, I've dipped my toes into Toem and currently running a Mario Kart gauntlet with my partner. Running through all 96 tracks, changing character at the end of every 4 races. The 1st week she opened up a 15-9 lead and after week 2 she's pulled ahead by 31-17. Need one hell of a comeback on the Expansion Pass tracks...happy weekend everyone!
Made a start into Xenoblade 2: Torna the Golden Country so enjoying getting my teeth into that. Added Star Ocean to my Xmas list to buy myself some time and reduce temptation to buy it myself! Happy weekend folks!
After rolling credits on TOTK a couple of weeks back (I will be back to sweep up stuff but felt it was time), I've been working my way through Citizen Sleeper as a shorter palette cleanser. Really enjoyed my time with it and think I'll be hitting Xenoblade Chronicles 2's Torna DLC next as it's meant to be the business.
If our new cat gives us some peace, my partner and I might continue working through Portal 2 together.
Pre-ordered it from Currys in the UK thanks to a nice wee discount code. Don't know if we'll be playing it straight away, might wait til we've finished Portal 2. Hope everyone enjoys it!
Really enjoyed reading this article, would love to hear more like this. I like hearing more regional accents in English language dubs (played Xenoblade Chronicles 2 recently) and the touches with names of places you mentioned are really neat!
Bought a few things in the summer sale for future (Disco Elysium, Citizen Sleeper, TMNT Shredder's Revenge). Still working on TOTK (about to tackle Death Mountain) but my partner and I have been working our way through Guacamelee 2. Really liked the 1st, 2nd one has more chickens so has been a blast. She bosses the combat while I seem to be better at the platforming sections Viva la couch co-op! Have a good weekend everyone!
Star Ocean really piqued my interest. Love the visual style and missed the original back in the PS1 days. Not my cup of tea but the Pikmin 1 and 2 drop was nice for folks who are into it. Nice to see Peach getting a starring role.
Don't have as much time to game as I used to in my younger years so I've made peace with this one being a marathon not a sprint. Don't want to rush it so could well be on this one for a while, and drop some shorter indie games in to break it up if I need to. Still have Xenoblade 3 and Persona 5 Royal too...sigh
Mainly Tears of the Kingdom but have picked up Citizen Sleeper as a wee diversion since TOTK will be a longer term project. Watching my partner play through TOTK too, interesting to see how someone else tackles some of the puzzles
Finally finished Xenoblade Chronicles 2. Worried I wouldn't make it in time for TOTK. Can't wait to eventually get round to Torna The Golden Country, Xenoblade 3 and Future Redeemed Take care everyone!

My main is Clair Obscur. Only a few hours in but already having a good time with it. The soundtrack is gorgeous!
Still have Xenoblade Chronicles X to get started but decided to get a couple of shorter ones in before - Dordogne last weekend and Neva this weekend.
Finished up Split Fiction with the partner during the week so we've also made a start on the 2nd game in The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles.
Happy weekend folks!
