@GrailUK considering what EA had said in the recent past about bringing it's "successful games" to Switch, it's absolutely relevant. Like always, not every article on the site is aimed at every single reader, so just because you don't like EA doesn't mean others aren't interested in the news.
@Xylnox good question... if you check the scoring policy page it details what we mean by each score, so the reviewer checks their thoughts against the scale to see where it best fits based on their experience. The Editor will also check that the tone of the review matches the score definition too. So it's not really a case of working forwards or backwards.
Sorry folks, Nintendo have decided not to include prices in their press release again. We’ll see if we can import these somehow from the eshop but doing it manually would take wayyy too long!
@Bunkerneath nope, that's correct - all that info was not included in the press release this week and we're not doing it manually - it would take forever!
@GrailUK ah, the old bank robbery is the same as piracy debate Haha, nah, I know what you're saying but I don't feel that's a fair comparison of what's going on here. Back to the actual subject though, there's clearly a deep relationship between Switch and Nvidia Shield and therefore we feel it's interesting to see how far certain people have taken their Switch - aside from piracy - when it comes to running Android.
@carlos82 that sounds moe like a moderator not interpreting the rules correctly, posts like that (PT) should have been allowed - I'd have no issues with that.
@spirit_flame you could also say that it exposes them to authorities as well, which is probably what they don't want. We've always covered big stories within this realm and our readers, such as @frabbit are interested in hearing about it.
@commentlife @Swifthom @Quarth yeah, some good points all round here. As I’ve mentioned before, we do ask Nintendo for comment but due to how Nintendo is structured it’s difficult for us to get real answers. Being based in the UK our main contacts are Nintendo UK, and they don’t have a say in lots of things and often are beholden to NCL in Japan. This is going to be a huge topic internally for Nintendo and we expect the story to continue for a while until there is a clear way forward. As you say, we’ve been surprised as to how many people this issue seems to be affecting so keeping the story in the public eye is useful for consumers, hopefully Nintendo will take notice and issue a proper response in the near future so everyone knows where they stand.
@beazlen1 oh, hmm, we could look at the location data to see if it's different but from what we can tell it's a global issue rather than any specific region.
@Bluerangervegeta when exactly was I “a d!** about it” or call anyone “stupid”? With or without the affiliate links (that are clearly labelled) we’d run this content and it would be just as useful for our audience. Sorry if you can’t see that.
@Sean161 most people are discussing the topic of the article. Ignoring my previous explanation of the existence of the article and then continuing to argue with people about that is disruptive and breaks this rule: "Do not post - unless you have something useful to say;".
@Sean161 okay, leave it there. You've been very disruptive on this article, if you don't understand why we cover these consoles then maybe Nintendo Life isn't for you.
@Ardisan yeah, obviously there is still a debate around how much work actually goes into the model - we just wanted to try and clear up what the guy said in the first place
@Blister no problem and I share the feeling! I probably won't end up getting one of these as my brain tells me I'll never end up playing it... but my heart says 'just order it anyway'
@ClassSonicSatAm @sanderev correct, we'll continue to cover everything retro as it's relevant to our readers. We started the site covering virtual console, which featured TG16 etc, so of course, we're going to cover this you're welcome. If you aren't interested in every single article, don't worry - they aren't all specifically for you.
@sanderev not really, breaking out the individual topics into their own articles so they can be considered and discussed on their own merits, otherwise comments would be all over the shop.
@EmmatheBest we could manage that during the Wii U days because there were much fewer releases. On Switch there are so many it just isn’t possible in a useful timeframe!

Re: Capcom Takes A Bite Out Of Its Resident Evil eShop Prices In Europe
@Alucard83 I don't think anyone understands these prices to be honest. I picked them up much cheaper on PS4 :/
@gaga64 correct, until Sept 5th.

Re: As You Probably Guessed, Need For Speed Heat Isn’t Coming To Switch
Nah, it was never going to happen anyway. Plus this game looks so vanilla (and I'm fan of Ghost Games), sorry.

Re: You Can Now (Unofficially) Run Android On Nintendo Switch
@Bunkerneath yep, but this is significant news from that community, so worth covering as news, hopefully, they can see that.

Re: Rumour: Free Joy-Con Drift Repairs Might Be Limited To Certain Regions
@saintayu nope, not really, only the occasional grumbler but that's par for the course, to be honest.
Re: Rumour: Free Joy-Con Drift Repairs Might Be Limited To Certain Regions
@saintayu or, we're reporting on all the updates to a developing story which is clearly important to lots of our readers.

@saintayu what do you mean? Why do you think it is clickbait?

@beazlen1 yep, we did one a few days ago here: https://www.nintendolife.com/news/2019/07/poll_have_your_joy-con_been_drifting

@sikthvash thanks, that's fixed - it's a conditional sale
Re: Guide: Where To Pre-order PC Engine / TurboGrafx-16 Mini
@Bluerangervegeta no, you can read it however you want, but that’s not the intention at all.
Re: Guide: Where To Pre-order PC Engine / TurboGrafx-16 Mini
@Gamer707b time - so many games these days it’s hard to justify for me when I know I won’t prioritise it over my current backlog of games.

Re: Deals: Grab A Bargain With These Nintendo Switch Console Bundles On Prime Day In The UK
@Woomy_NNYes they're actually still quite hard to get hold of...
Re: Deals: Grab A Bargain With These Nintendo Switch Console Bundles On Prime Day In The UK
@gcunit interesting, I can see activity from a Google Proxy for your account. Thanks for the info anyway
Re: Deals: Grab A Bargain With These Nintendo Switch Console Bundles On Prime Day In The UK
@gcunit that would suggest you are accessing it via a US IP address, are you using a VPN or Proxy in the US? (I know you are UK based)
Re: Deals: Grab A Bargain With These Nintendo Switch Console Bundles On Prime Day
@Nintendofan83 @gcunit working fine for us (and many others), what seems to be the problem?

@Pikachupwnage I believe that should be fixed now
