For the amount of effort it takes to get Earthwake it's not great. You can only aim it in one direction, can't change the path and it doesn't do all that much damage. Too much of a trade-off for having to unequip your sword. It would have been much better if it were upgradable to increase the area. One of the most pointless key items I missioned for.
On a sidenote. I'm not usually the type to be pedantic but it's Earthwake, not Earthquake. It's literally in the first 2 images under "How To Use Earthquake".
I see that gatekeeping is still alive and well. Not everyone plays the same and if someone wants to break the game and play glitched on a single player game then leave them be. It affects you in absolutely no way. If you enjoy playing clean then have at it. You're no better than anyone else. Serioudly, people need to get over this nonsense already.
Nearly 200 hours in and I've barely closed the game since it launched. So far I've done parts of the main story and a whole lot of side quests. I've missioned for the best armor and weapons. Full stamina, 200% battery, 21 hearts. Got all the Sage Will's. Got all the lightroots (mainly because I hated navigating the depths without them). Now I'm working on the last shrines (easier because I have all the lightroots) and about 300 koroks to go to max inventory.
Once I'm done with all that I'll probably do more side quests and then maybe I'll finish the main story.
That looks brilliant. I'm happy they went back to the roots. Feels like a modern version of PoP1 and 2. So many happy hours playing them. I'm so happy to see the traps.
@lyle_catcliffe just hold either Zonai charges or Large Zonai charges near the "pot" at the foot of the dispenser. Then when you back out it'll let you drop them in. Similarf to how you cook. If you put in 5 Zonai charges you get a few. But if you drop in 5 large zonaite charges you'll get a bunch of them.
Zonai cannons act like bomb flowers when you fuse them to arrows. On a 5 shot Savage Lynel Bow it's like your own personal armageddon. Just don't do it close range.
@eaglebob345 nonense. I've been duplicating and yet I'm still out there exploring and enjoying the game. I just don't enjoy the grind. I'm 90+ hours in and I've barely even touched the main story. Maybe you should enhjoy the game your way and worry less about how other people enjoy theirs.
@The-Chosen-one I'm like a squirrel on crack. "Ooooooh, look at that new shiny thing over there. Wait no, there's a newer, shinier thing. No, wait..." And 3 hours later I'm trying to remember what I started out doing.
It just shows how big the game actually is. Sure, if you just did the main story it's fairly short. But I'm over 80 hours in and I've done very little of the story. There's just so much other stuff I keep finding to do.
@Ploppy. Yea I'll never understand why people get so offended by this stuff. If someone wants to play on the easiest difficulty and glitch the game to kingdom come then who cares. Let people enjoy things their way. I mean I get if it affected others in a multiplayer game but if it's single payer then let people be.
No thank you. I'll stick with my lovely 1.1.1 glitches. Hasn't ruined my experience in the slightest.
My favourite part of the glitches is just how worked up some people get that other people are exploiting glitches in a single player game that affects them in no way at all.
@Ryan_Again no worries. It's probably the single best building trick I've found. Besides that pressing ZL will level what you're holding. And if you have motion controls on then shaking the controller will detach. Easier than wiggling the right stick.
@solarwolf07 Make your life easier by using a stake to build these things. Attach the stake to the spike then you just have to attach the fans at angles and free it from the stake.
@<brtsckft>Juanblue85</brtsckft>You've got to be really careful with those bomb flowers. I've blown myself to hell a couple of times when I was just slightly too high.
45 hours here and I've only just finished the Tulin quest and some side quests. Mostly I've just been doing shrines and towers. Whenever I set out to do more of the main story I find something else to do and never get there. So many fun distractions.

Nope. Can't do it. Won't do it. It doesn't matter how good the reviews are. I refuse to pay that much for a game and still have microtransactions. And I refuse to support the mechanic. Microtransactions on full priced games should be banned.
Got my hands on the climbing set and fierce deity set so far. Got a 3rd of the glide set. Fierce Deity is so good. Made getting the travel medallion a breeze. Next is the Zonaite set when I'm doing sky stuff again.
Oh and I got the Bokoblin Mask. That one's way too much fun to wear.
After binging ToTK since it released I might take a break and play some other stuff. I've sent Link to some challenging places the last few days so I'll probably give him the weekend off.
@<brtsckft>sleepinglion</brtsckft> Thanks for the heads up. I think there are a couple of shrines in Lanayru I haven't hit yet with diamonds. I'll try those first. I might also feed the Dondons near Lakeside Stable some luminous stones. They conveniently poop precious stones.
Nice tip about the ancient blade. I'll keep that in mind on my explorations.

Easy to do and useful in a pinch. Nearly ran out of Brighblooms in the depths so it saved me having to travel out to find more. But it's a pretty tedious thing to sit and there doing it.
Yes. Yes it is. From the start you can feel the story is richer and deeper. I haven't even dropped to Hyrule yet but the Sky Islands already add a sense of depth I didn't appreciate until I started playing. And I can't explain the joy I felt the first time I used Ultrahand to build that first "vehicle". There's just something magical about it.
So yea, it feels like BoTW but everything is better. I'm can't wait to see what's next.
Well I just got an email saying my pre-order was cancelled. I used one of my vouchers and now not only do I not have the pre-order but they didn't even return the voucher.

I've got no problem with barebones. If that makes a better port then great. But the price should match that. 50 bucks is unreasonable.
