It was a surprise that Samus was female. But for me that was the end of it. The only thing that mattered was that the game played well. It's nice to get another perspective but it's not that big of a deal

DK should get a new game. Its long over due. But that's where it should stop. He isn't a viable character that will raise the Nintendo brand. They do make some weird decisions in Japan.

Yeah I know. And it's the only game that gave you gap videos so you could find all the gaps. Probably spent more time doing that than completing the game.

This is a huge turning point for the switch. If the games don't start coming in then it's the end of the lifespan as I see it. Which would mean a switch 2 is on the horizon.

It's the same for all products. It's called the 2nd hand or used markets.
Toyota sell a car and shock horror they dont chime up when the owner sells it on. THE AUDACITY.
Same with games. Nintendo sell games new and that's where they make their money. You wanna play old games then track down that product

It's not your job to preserve games. It's your job to play them.

Comes down to ownership. If its not yours then you are stealing. This stuff is killing gaming the same way the music industry was killed in the early 2000s. Companies will not want to make games when they will lose money on them. That's why we get half finished games at the moment like Aninal Crossing.

No way Nintendo want to make money. Don't be silly. They cant even give us folders and themes let alone something to play. I'm off to play with my expensive calculator

PS2 was the golden era. Games were bought complete. No need for day one patches or stupid microtransactions. Developers were allowed to work their craft on a relatively small budget without the fear of failure.
Today's graphics might be pretty but I think the gameplay has suffered. For this to be the golden era we need to stop the remakes and remasters and let them be consigned to gaming history for all of us to remember fondly.

Future generations are not gonna care about old games. Teenagers are not eager to play Megaman or frogger and that resonates down the years. They look at these games and turn their noses up. It's only the geeks and nerds that think anyone cares about game preservation.

Live for the moment. Look to the future. Preservation of the past is best left there.
