@glennthefrog it's not finicky at all, it is very precise, but some of the attacks are hard to predict. And it definitely makes the combat so much more fun.

@bozz not specifically, but you would not see these comments to this degree on Push Square. So it is an inference that at least some of these comments are from Switch-only owners who don't care about anything non-Nintendo.

Amazing the number of Nintendo fanboys here bashing the game. I will enjoy the hell out of it after I finish Horizon Forbidden West. Then I will likely play Triangle Strategy. Console wars are for children and marketers.

@chrona that is 100% not true. After gold, he takes a certain amount of damage before the counter "takes". Yes, he must be countered to move to phase 2 but the missile damage matters. If I damage him a lot first, only one counter is needed. If I don't as much, it has taken up to 3 times. Are you just really bad at countering? Trying to figure out why you are having a tantrum.

@chrona I am not sure if he eventually reaches gold on his own, but attacking him certainly changes his color faster and moves it along. I have gotten him gold within a minute. So really you seem to just be ranting for no good reason.

Metroid Dread was just released and it is the opposite of accessible. Man that second boss took a LOT of tries and cramped my hand. And I love it.

Dead Cells is favorite by far. I also really like Cademce of Hyrule, but that game is not a roguelike or even a roguelite by any means. It only has random generation, but there aren't any real penalties to dying.

I am all for Sony doing this, and who cares if they copied a good idea? However, that "Direct" was simply not good. Too much VR and nothing about the games people have been waiting for - Death Stranding, Ghosts of Tsushima, Last of Us Part 2, Cyberpunk 2077. Right now, Days Gone is the only upcoming Sony game I care about that even has a release window.

So he is too shy to say something good, but easily says what is bad? Sounds kinda like a dick to work with.

Putting the Switch above the SNES, 3DS and Gamecube is completely ridiculous. It might get there, but at this point, absolutely no way.

Maybe if ranking them based on the library less than 2 years in, it would win.

@AlternateButtons This is not clickbait at all. The review is complete minus online, which is actually showing more integrity than all the other review sites. They will either give it a 9 (if they don't like the online) or a 10 (if they do). And what is written here is much more important than whether it is a 9 or 10 anyway.

Complaining about people eating, judging people for drinking, saying you have no friends. No wonder the gaming culture is so toxic.

You guys give out so many 9s, and this really should be a 10 to differentiate. This deserves as much accolades as Super Mario Odyssey and Breath of the Wild. (Actually more IMO, but I realize that may be going too far.)

The Nintendo Life writers need to slow down sometimes. It is helpful to state that March is the end of their fiscal year in the article.

The Holiday update looks great and could be worth it, especially if it done right like Witcher 3. Everything before the Holiday update is either stupid BS or stuff that should have been in the base game. I'll wait until the Holiday update to see if I will purchase. I'm not paying for a dungeon with minimal story that takes a couple hours. On the other hand, if it is like the 20 hour+ Witcher 3 expansion Blood & Wine, then I'm all in.

But yes, I fully expected this. Not sure why so many are surprised. Still a trend I do not like.

@bolt05 I don't understand this at all. I haven't paid and I'm far in the game. How is that a cash grab? If you want to be a completionist, it is expensive, but otherwise it is free.
