@glennthefrog it's not finicky at all, it is very precise, but some of the attacks are hard to predict. And it definitely makes the combat so much more fun.
@Meertallenkorrel lol, some opinions are simply bad
@Anachronism sorry you went through that, but not everyone experiences things the same way. I am morally upstanding but still enjoy the "filth" you speak of. I also enjoy Mario and such. I am simply well rounded.
I don't think you realize that you are being insulting.
@Mattock1987 @bozz you guys might be right. It just so happened that like the first 4 or 5 comments I saw were negative but now it looks more balanced.
@bozz not specifically, but you would not see these comments to this degree on Push Square. So it is an inference that at least some of these comments are from Switch-only owners who don't care about anything non-Nintendo.
Amazing the number of Nintendo fanboys here bashing the game. I will enjoy the hell out of it after I finish Horizon Forbidden West. Then I will likely play Triangle Strategy. Console wars are for children and marketers.
@chrona that is 100% not true. After gold, he takes a certain amount of damage before the counter "takes". Yes, he must be countered to move to phase 2 but the missile damage matters. If I damage him a lot first, only one counter is needed. If I don't as much, it has taken up to 3 times. Are you just really bad at countering? Trying to figure out why you are having a tantrum.
@chrona I am not sure if he eventually reaches gold on his own, but attacking him certainly changes his color faster and moves it along. I have gotten him gold within a minute. So really you seem to just be ranting for no good reason.
@nimnio obviously I know that. Which is why I stated it read like a 9. My only point is that the same con is listed twice. Not something NintendoLife usually does.
So, would you say that if the sub-menu load times and big frame rate drops go away, that it would be a 9? Checking if I want to get later. Too busy now - Paper Mario & Ghost of Tsushima.
Dead Cells is favorite by far. I also really like Cademce of Hyrule, but that game is not a roguelike or even a roguelite by any means. It only has random generation, but there aren't any real penalties to dying.
I read the whole thing before looking at the score and was shocked this wasn't a 10 based on the description. Some frame rate issues and pop-in lowered it?
I am all for Sony doing this, and who cares if they copied a good idea? However, that "Direct" was simply not good. Too much VR and nothing about the games people have been waiting for - Death Stranding, Ghosts of Tsushima, Last of Us Part 2, Cyberpunk 2077. Right now, Days Gone is the only upcoming Sony game I care about that even has a release window.
@AlternateButtons This is not clickbait at all. The review is complete minus online, which is actually showing more integrity than all the other review sites. They will either give it a 9 (if they don't like the online) or a 10 (if they do). And what is written here is much more important than whether it is a 9 or 10 anyway.
You guys give out so many 9s, and this really should be a 10 to differentiate. This deserves as much accolades as Super Mario Odyssey and Breath of the Wild. (Actually more IMO, but I realize that may be going too far.)
The Holiday update looks great and could be worth it, especially if it done right like Witcher 3. Everything before the Holiday update is either stupid BS or stuff that should have been in the base game. I'll wait until the Holiday update to see if I will purchase. I'm not paying for a dungeon with minimal story that takes a couple hours. On the other hand, if it is like the 20 hour+ Witcher 3 expansion Blood & Wine, then I'm all in.
But yes, I fully expected this. Not sure why so many are surprised. Still a trend I do not like.
@bolt05 I don't understand this at all. I haven't paid and I'm far in the game. How is that a cash grab? If you want to be a completionist, it is expensive, but otherwise it is free.

Re: 'Emio' Includes A Lot Of Horrific Mature Themes, According To Its Rating
@Anachronism whatever. I don't have a problem. What I watch and play has no impact on how I treat my friends, co workers, wife, and daughters.
Re: 'Emio' Includes A Lot Of Horrific Mature Themes, According To Its Rating
@Anachronism you sound like this is just a personal problem, so be less insulting about it
@Citrus_Architect yeah, the domestic violence part has me particularly concerned

Re: Gallery: The Legend Of Zelda: Echoes Of Wisdom Is A Glorious Mix Of Old And New
@Sourcecode so you are one of those "too adult for this game" type. What I find funny is that most people who say things like this are immature.
Re: Hands On: Strategy Fan? You Need To Keep An Eye On Vanillaware's Stunning 'Unicorn Overlord'
@Rozetta so you still have the mentality of caring about console wars. Got it.
I remember feeling that way when 10 years old.
Re: Hands On: Strategy Fan? You Need To Keep An Eye On Vanillaware's Stunning 'Unicorn Overlord'
@StAmbrosius why do you care if exclusive or not? I don't get it. Make it available to more people.
Re: Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Leads Nintendo's Nominations At The Game Awards 2022
@westman98 I certainly agree that the timing is weird. They should hold off a couple months.
Re: Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Leads Nintendo's Nominations At The Game Awards 2022
@westman98 journalists and critics have had it for weeks. Don't be petty.

Re: Feature: Steven Spohn On Strides In Accessibility For Gaming, And Nintendo's Room For Improvement
Metroid Dread was just released and it is the opposite of accessible. Man that second boss took a LOT of tries and cramped my hand. And I love it.
Re: Review: Ghosts 'n Goblins Resurrection - A Masochistic Medieval Marvel
@nimnio obviously I know that. Which is why I stated it read like a 9. My only point is that the same con is listed twice. Not something NintendoLife usually does.
Re: Review: Ghosts 'n Goblins Resurrection - A Masochistic Medieval Marvel
Uh, you listed the same con twice (brutal and masochism). This read like a "9" but seemed to be lowered to a "8" by duplicating a con.

Re: Paper Mario: The Origami King Features A Seamless Open World And "Huge Maps"
@Octane both obviously. The question is which to play first? Hmm

@backup368 well, he has worked his ass off to get where he is. Why the shade?
Re: ESRB And PEGI Will Continue To Assign Ratings Remotely
Can't CERO do the same? Seems an easy job to do remotely.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (April 11th)
C'mon, we know half the staff will be playing Final Fantasy VII. Just admit it!
Re: The Multi-Award-Winning Disco Elysium Is Coming To Nintendo Switch
I am very interested in playing this game that beat out The Outer Worlds for Best RPG at the Game Awards.

Re: The Wonderful 101: Remastered Targeting 1080p/60fps On Switch
@glaemay you are talking about rabid fans, not Sony. And there are rabid fans on all sides.
Re: Gallery: Here's Your First Look At The Outer Worlds On Switch
@thefoxystoat You seem to have a personal vendetta against this game as everything you say is wrong.
Re: The Wonderful 101: Remastered Targeting 1080p/60fps On Switch
I feel I should get this on Switch but the PS4 Pro resolution is tempting AF.
Re: Talking Point: What Are You Playing This Weekend? (January 25th)
Tokyo Mirage Sessions was just released and not on your list? Shame
Re: Feature: The Worst Nintendo Switch Games Of 2019
@Anti-Matter evil? Wow, that is pathetic
Re: Review: Fire Emblem: Three Houses - The Zenith Of A Legendary SRPG Series
@BenAV of course it's a great score. Not truly complaining, It just read like a 10 to me.
Re: Review: Fire Emblem: Three Houses - The Zenith Of A Legendary SRPG Series
I read the whole thing before looking at the score and was shocked this wasn't a 10 based on the description. Some frame rate issues and pop-in lowered it?
And Mario Maker got a 10?
Re: Review: Tiny Metal: Full Metal Rumble - Finally, A True Successor To Advance Wars Emerges
@Heavyarms55 I agree that stating it may be better than Advance Wars sounds a little over-the-top, but Wargroove was not THAT good.

@ShinyUmbreon Oh, no! There is mild swearing! Give me a f'ing break.

So he is too shy to say something good, but easily says what is bad? Sounds kinda like a dick to work with.
Re: Octopath Traveler Makes The Leap To Mobile, New Console Game Will Take "A Little While Longer"
What is with all the whining? On no, it isn't exclusive to Switch. Oh no, I might have to wait a couple years for a full sequel.
Grow up
Re: Guide: The Best Nintendo Switch Controllers
If I made this article: Buy a Pro Controller. End of article.
Re: Guide: Every Nintendo Console Ranked From Worst To Best
Putting the Switch above the SNES, 3DS and Gamecube is completely ridiculous. It might get there, but at this point, absolutely no way.
Maybe if ranking them based on the library less than 2 years in, it would win.

Complaining about people eating, judging people for drinking, saying you have no friends. No wonder the gaming culture is so toxic.

Re: Nintendo Has Reportedly Sold 1.5 Million Switch Consoles Worldwide
The Nintendo Life writers need to slow down sometimes. It is helpful to state that March is the end of their fiscal year in the article.

@TreasureFan Why wait when this is free?
