Starfox games better get Remake on Switch 2, not the ported GameCube version as rental service.
I don't even need old Animal Crossing from GameCube.
I don't like the stupid antics of old Animal Crossing that force the player to play everyday or will lose the villagers.
I stay with ACNH for never leaving villagers (unless I kick them out intentionally) and call it a day.

Pretty sure Luigi's Mansion was confirmed for arrival on the service's announcement, but anyways - there are only two games I wanna see make it onto the service: Wario World and Donkey Kong Jungle Beat. The latter I especially desire because I want them to redistribute the DK Bongos along with JB.

The fact that Skies of Arcadia and Beyond Good and Evil aren’t on this list kinda offends me.

Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles is one my favourites.

I want some weird games that people don't tend to know about.
Give us Billy Hatcher, Gotcha Force, Cubivore.
Give me that game about casting magic with Skittles - Darkened Skye

I also want to see all the third-party multiplatform games like Rayman 3, or Spyro: A Hero's Tail, or Prince of Persia Sands of Time. or even like Crazy Taxi.
...Soul Calibur II is a promising start for these kinds of games.

I don't see why the NES games in Animal Crossing would be a problem, considering all NSO subscribers would already have the NES games available via NSO anyway? Why would Nintendo be reluctant?

TimeSplitters 2 is good but TimeSplitters: Future Perfect would be a much better pick.

Latency is key. If they can get input latency to a nice low level, I’ll be chuffed.

I still think that the most perfect time for Zelda: Four Swords Adventures to have been rereleased would've been on the Wii U. Then, instead of having to buy a bunch of cables to connect Game Boy Advances to a GameCube, you could simply connect a bunch of 3DS systems to the Wii U through wi-fi, like how you could use your 3DS as a controller for Smash 4 on Wii U.

But now the 3DS is long gone, so they can't do such a setup anymore... So I wonder how Nintendo would handle the multiplayer in Four Swords Adventures if it ever gets added to Switch Online...

Phantasy Star Online would be my dream! I still play the physical version on GC somtimes, it's such a great game. All that's missing is the community of old.

I‘d rather get native NS2 remasters, with high resolutions, framerates, LoD, and modern controls.

I want the Mario Party games! Especially if they could get the switch mic to work with 6 and 7!

Hopefully if they do put Melee on it they really make sure it's working right. But knowing everything it'll probably be like Ocarina on Switch Online where to a layman like me it felt fine, but to a Speed runner who has played 5 hours of the game nearly every day for multiple years it felt bad.

Not saying that people complaining isn't justified for how much the service costs, it's just tiring with everyone saying the same thing over and over again.

I think these are all very likely additions, sonic adventure 2 might be the only major maybe but even then its got a pretty solid chance

@DiceRobo i feel that, for mr switch online was my first chance to try a lot of retro games and I've had so much fun while others say the ports are bad. As long as you're having a good time thats all you need to experience these games

Surprised MGS: Twin Snakes didn’t make the list! That along with RE4 and PSO were some of the best third party titles to grace the system.

I'm really surprised Mario Kart isn't on the list nor is it confirmed yet. So far every NSO console that had a Mario Kart launched with its respective Mario Kart, I guess this time they don't because it would compete with World, which I guess means we're at least a year off from getting Double Dash.

@BrokenCiv as for B&G, it’s the same reason Res Evil 4 wouldn’t make a lot of sense in the list - there exists a remaster on the eshop already of both. But I do like having original works available when possible at least to compare, or in the off chance it’s a superior version overall.

For the love of all that is good, PLEASE being Star Fox Assault to NSO. That multiplayer was incredible. If that had online support, that would be reason alone to keep me forever subscribed to NSO.

Kinda shocking not have Eternal Darkness on this list, it’s never had a sequel or remake. It’s an all timer that deserves to be available on other hardware.

Also, give me Wave Race: Blue Storm you cowards!

PSO would be amazing but it would never work.

Mario Kart DD is my most-wanted, followed by Smash Bros Melee and the GC version of Twilight Princess.

For 3rd party games I'd love Rogue Leader, Viewtiful Joe and PN03.

The Sonic Adventure series needs to be remastered. And Star Fox Adventures needs a sequel!

With access to the first 7 + the Switch games if you have em, that's one hell of a good time!

I'm also curious if they'll just bypass titles like Metroid Prime, Pikmin, TTYD etc. that have standalone remasters/remakes on Switch. I suppose if Super Mario RPG/Mario VS. Donkey Kong is anything to go by, they probably will just leave them which is a shame.

@Yosher I'd imagine it's do with them wanting Mario Kart World to be the main focus for the time being (maybe that suggests DLC sooner rather than later but I'm getting ahead of myself).

I definitely want about half this list on Switch 2 NSO. Especially: Star Fox Adventures since it's different from the other titles and is an action/adventure game, and Zelda: Four Swords Adventures since it's the only main series Zelda title I've yet to play.

I wouldn't mind Metroid Prime 2: Echoes either, but I'd rather see a remastered version.

Okay just a thought.
We know that the NS2 is capable of streaming relatively complex stuff to 3 other systems including NS1, right? That's the game share thing.
Now just imagine if they bump it up to 4 systems and they are doing GBA compatibility support using that technology. Wouldn't that be awesome.

Also I will add that several other games have their remakes on NS1 and this has not stopped them to put the legacy version on NSO. Turok and Shadowman come to mind. So hey, maybe there is hope.

There should be a separate Mature app for Gamecube games like with the N64.

@sweetchuck a small minority on the internet doesn't really make much of a difference when it comes to Nintendo's decisions. The vast majority of people just want to turn the system on and click the game without even caring about the themes.

The only game I've wanted to replay is Colosseum so I'm already set. My only one "update" hope is that they change the physical/special split so some of the Pokemon are more usable but I'm not counting my breath (sorry Misdreavus and Feraligatr)

I'd much rather games that could be remastered got remastered instead of appearing on NSO so for GCN NSO I'd like to see more of the deep cuts that have no chance of remaster like how N64 got Extreme-G and Iggy's Reckin' Balls.

To those suggesting Eternal Darkness. There's certain things that wouldn't translate well to playing it on Switch 2 hardware, and I doubt Nintendo would bother to make any changes to reflect that.

@Gatorclops 3DS has/had supported themes. At which point has Ninrendo become lazy? Look at the very slow and rocky NSO beginning, especially N64 emulation. As far as list Gamecube games available on NSO, i wouldn't have had high hopes. There are many GC games, for a reference, look at total number available games for NES,SNES on NSO pretty small huh, hold your breath and make your wish

SA2:B is a yes, but it also already has a perfectly fine HD widescreen port which has been ready and waiting for SEGA to get off their ass and port to Switch/2.

The gamecube was all about Doshin the Giant, so i'm just glad it's on the list. Allthough a remake with an even bigger Doshin would be very welcome. The Wii can emulate the gamecube very well btw.

Pac-Man Vs. is already on Switch 1 as part of Namco Museum. There's even a dedicated free app for playing multiplayer on multiple Switches

It will never happen (esp. because of Sonic3 music) but... Sonic Mega Collection.

A lot of people don't know this but the "Plus" version was actually a cheap downgrade in terms of presentation, it would be great for people to have access to the true version and experience absolute Sonic bliss.

It would be such a flex from Sega to actually re-release a past collection.

Both Star Fox games top my list, especially Assault. Even better is if they allow online multiplayer, and not only with friends. I played the heck out of multiplayer mode, but since the GameCube wasn't really portable, I couldn't really take it on the go. But if it comes to the Switch 2, I can finally do so.

And while we're at it, how about a sequel to Assault that ignores the continuity of Command? I never did like how they wrote the characters in that game (Krystal especially), and the multiple endings where some of the characters did not get happy endings frankly did not help things. So by making a new Star Fox game that takes place after Assault but basically retcons Command would make me happy. Especially if it shows the relationship between Fox and Krystal deepening further, with the two of them getting married by the end of the game.

@Anti-Matter apparently they did something to the remaster of Crystal Chronicles that made it very not good. I don’t know the details, I haven’t played either version, but I hear a lot of lamentation about the remaster.

Collections have been good to me so not too much that can be (so non licensed games) released left on my wishlist. And my OG gamecube collection meets my needs. I suspect Nintendo will release most of their catalog over time so I am just floating until soul calibur 2.

Echos is that one Prime game I never beat. Maybe now would be the time.

I think the games I actually want to play are going to need some wheeling and dealing with third parties to get on there.

Omg yes, it's been far too long since we've seen a Star Fox game! If we can't get a new one anytime soon, then I hope we at least get the older ones returned to us on their virtual console libraries like GameCube.

Would love to see some other nostalgic games like the Viewtiful Joe series, Wave Race, Eternal Darkness, Gauntlet Dark Legacy, etc. So many fun games on the previous gens!

Rogue Leader is the main one.

From the 10 listed, Animal Crossing because of curiosity. I never played it. The first was New Leaf on 3DS and then New Horizons on Switch. Time Splitters 2 is an outstanding game, so I recommend that to everyone.

My main lack of excitement for most of them is because I own them and played them extensively. Even Rogue Leader! I just think that's a brilliant showcase of the Game Cube and its controller.

Perhaps after a year or so I might consider subscribing for a month to try some. If Nintendo actually would sell them, I'd probably buy a few. Since they don't, boo to them!

The fact that Eternal Darkness isn't on the top 10 is a glaring oversight. That was easily one of the best games on the system. I owned all of the other games (other than Doshan the Giant and Sonic) and would pick ED over any of them.

I would be keen to play Doshan though, since I saw a youtube video on it and it seemed interesting.

Star Fox Adventures is not a great game.
I bought into the hype and bought it a few years back, I still have it, but IDK why - I will not play it again. It either wasn't that great back in the day or did not hold up well, but either way, it just is a bunch of meh.
FWIW - the much maligned, and notably not great WiiU Star Fox offering is much, much better than Star Fox Adventures imo.

GameCube is the first Nintendo retro system where the graphics are not all that jarring compared to the newer generations. The cube was quite a little powerhouse back in the day. StarFox Adventures for me...
